Nina Nirema brings a passion for social impact, technology, and entrepreneurship to her role at Incandescent, after working both in rapidly growing startups and the nonprofit sector. She is enthusiastic about effective problem solving and design thinking.
Nina has spent the past few years building, growing, and shaping communities, both online and offline. After beginning her career at Foursquare, a social location discovery app, she moved to Hailo, an app connecting people to drivers across the world. Most recently, she worked at charity: water, a non-profit bringing clean water to people in developing nations.
She studied Politics and Arabic at Pomona College. Originally from Burundi, Nina is passionate about Sub-Saharan African development and post-conflict resolution. She’s an explorer; in her free time you can find her at a concert hall or in a museum — and likely in another city.
